“Once I scratched it, I thought I’d won a few dollars so I handed it back to the newsagent to check. After she checked it on the lottery terminal she said to me, ‘I can’t pay the prize on this ticket.’

“That’s when I got excited! I couldn’t believe it when it was confirmed I’d won $200,000!

“I put my winning ticket in my handbag for safe keeping and held it close to my chest the whole way home!”

The overjoyed winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said the first thing she’ll buy with her instant windfall is a tablet computer.

“I also really want to make a surprise visit to family interstate and then I’ll put the rest in the bank.”

The top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its $4 ticket was purchased at NewsXpress in the Centro Shopping Centre on the corner of Tamborine Road and Old Pacific Highway in Oxenford.
