A major sporting event has been locked in for the Gold Coast in 2021, after it was delayed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Australian swimming championships will be held at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre in April, after the 2020 event was cancelled.
The city’s new events body, Major Events Gold Coast, helped secure the event for the coast, which will be our first major sporting event since the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The age championships are expected to run from April 5-12 and the Australian championships will then run from April 14-18.
It’ll be one of the last chances for our Aussie stars to get race-fit, before the re-scheduled Olympics in Tokyo later next year.
