28 people charged following weekend drug raids in Qld

Police have charged 28 people following a series of drug raids in Toowoomba over the weekend.

The Crime Squad executed multiple search warrants between Friday August 5 and Sunday, allegedly uncovering a quantity of cocaine, ecstacy, ice, cannabis, steroids, firearms and cash.

Police say the potential street value of the illicit drugs located at one suburban address is believed to be around $30,000.

Twenty-eight people will appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court in relation to a total of 59 offences.

 

The arrests follow police raids last week where 12 people were charged with 44 offences.
