Major breakthrough: Man charged over terrifying Sydney CBD bank robbery

A MAN has today been charged over the terrifying armed robbery of a bank in Sydney’s CBD more than 30 years ago.

The 58-year-old was deported from the United Kingdom in May and arrested at Sydney Airport following investigations into a series of armed robberies that occurred across Sydney in the 1980s.

At the time, the man was charged with various offences and he remains before the court.
