$30,000 worth of Seafood stolen by scammers on the Sunshine Coast

$30,000 worth of seafood has been stolen, as part of a scam targeting several businesses on the Sunshine Coast.

Police say members of the syndicate showed false bank statements, after ordering large amounts of seafood in Mooloolaba, Capalaba and Warana.

The food was collected two weeks ago before the owners realised what had happened.

The scammers used a refrigerated vehicle hired from Brisbane using a Chinese driver’s licence.

Police hope this man, will be able to assist with inquiries.

Officers are also appealing for other businesses who may have been targeted.
