Police have seized more than one million dollars worth of marijuana after finding 355 plants growing inside two neighbouring homes in Sydney’s inner-west.

Heavily armed officers raided the two unoccupied Bland Street properties at Ashfield shortly before 10am on Friday finding both premises had undergone extensive modifications in order to cultivate cannabis inside.

In one of the homes, officers located 173 cannabis plants, while in the second home, they found 182.

Police say the combined estimated potential street value of the 355 plants is $1,046,000.

No one was at either home at the time of the raids and police investigations are continuing under Strike Force Zambesi.
