A 3-year-old girl has died after she was crushed by a ‘Lest We Forget’ stone memorial at Hallidays Point in NSW.
It’s believed the little girl was playing with a group of children at the Blackhead Bowling Club when the large monument fell on top of her.
Emergency services were called to the club about 7.20pm on Saturday. When they arrived they found the memorial sandstone block overturned, and the girl suffering severe injuries.

She was rushed to Manning Rural Referral Hospital at Taree, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have established a crime scene and are preparing a report for the coroner.
