A three-year-old girl, who was hit by a car on the northern Gold Coast over the weekend, has now passed away in hospital.
Luna Matenga was critically injured when she was struck by a Toyota Corolla along Goldmine Road in Ormeau.
It’s understood the girl was crossing the road at the time in between two parked vehicles.

A registered nurse was at the scene and commenced CPR immediately while paramedics, including critical care rushed to the scene.
The girl was stabilised at the scene before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
Her mother Jessica Feeney confirmed on Wednesday that Luna passed away on Tuesday night, in a post to social media.
“With the heaviest of hearts, I want to thank every single person for their prayers and positive vibes for my baby girl.
“She felt it, we felt it, unfortunately at 9.03pm on the 22nd of December we let our beautiful baby girl go, surrounded by her family in the arms of her mummy and daddy!
“Our hearts are completely broken. Fly high my gorgeous blue eyed, red headed unicorn! Ride those dragons baby. Until we meet again!” the post reads.
A Go Fund Me page has nearly raised $70,000.
