5 hospitalised after separate crashes on the Gold Coast

Five people have been hospitalised today after separate car crashes on the Gold Coast.

Emergency services were first called to reports of a two vehicle crash in Coombabah at 10.53am.

Three people were assessed at the scene on Pine Ridge Road near Pine Ridge Village Store.


All three had to be taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with minor injuries.

They’re believed to be in a stable condition.

Just minutes later, paramedics were called to the scene of another two vehicle crash in Varsity Lakes.

It happened on the corner of Christine Avenue and South Bay Drive at 10.57am.

Two people had to be taken to hospital with chest pains.

They’re also believed to be in stable conditions at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
