$500K worth of cannabis found growing inside suburban Sydney home
Almost $500,000 worth of cannabis has been found growing inside a home in Sydney’s south west.
The mass discovery was made by police who executed a search warrant on the Prairiewood home about 3.00pm yesterday.
During the raid, officers seized 44 cannabis plants and about 50kg of cannabis, which had a combined estimated street value of $488,000.
A 23-year-old man and 57-year-old woman were arrested at the home and taken to the custody of Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
A second man, aged 26, was arrested a short distance away and has since been charged with enhanced indoor cultivation for commercial purpose, supply prohibited drug, organise/conducts/assists drug premises and found on/entering/leaving drug premises.
