$58,000 raised for family of brother and sister killed in Dreamworld tragedy

AN online crowdfunding campaign set up to help the family of a brother and sister killed in the Dreamworld tragedy last week has so far raised more than $58,000.

Siblings Luke Dorsett, 35, and Kate Goodchild, 32, were one of four people who lost their lives in the ride disaster at Dreamworld on Tuesday 25 October while enjoying a family holiday together on the Gold Coast.

Kate leaves behind her two daughters – Ebony 12 and Evie only 8 months old – and a partner of 14 years.

Tragically, Luke’s partner Roozi Araghi was also killed in the accident.

The official MyCause campaign – launched by close family friend of Kate Goodchild, Sandra Brookfield – has since been shared more than 2,800 times on social media.

More than 1070 people have so far contributed to the campaign, with donations coming in from every corner of the country.

The money raised during the campaign will be placed in a memorial fund created for Kate’s daughters in the wake of the tragedy.
