A young boy has been rushed to hospital after being mauled by a dog on the NSW central coast.
Police say the 5-year-old was inside his home when he was attacked by the family’s Rhodesian Ridgeback shortly before 8pm last night.
He was taken to Gosford hospital with facial injuries before being transported to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead for further treatment.

The dog has since been secured and officers will liaise with local council rangers.
