7-year-old boy unconscious after being struck by car in Sydney’s north
A seven-year-old boy has been critically injured after being hit by a car on Sydney’s northern beaches.
It’s understood the boy was struck on Warringah Road, near Starkey Street, at Forestville just before 5pm.
The boy has reportedly suffered serious head injuries and was unconscious when paramedics arrived.
Part of the road has been closed, bringing peak-hour traffic to a standstill.
Paramedics are treating the child in the back of an ambulance.
A helicopter has also landed at the scene.
