A.B. Paterson learning precinct wins local building award

A new multi-million dollar learning facility at A.B. Paterson College has taken out a prestigious building award.

The Winton Centre this week won the 2019 Master Builders Queensland Gold Coast Housing and Construction Award for an Educational Facility.

The $13 million learning precinct, which opened last month, features a rainforest-themed playground, cafe and even a film studio.

Built by Alder Constructions, the facility also includes a library, flexible learning spaces, a 160 seat multi-purpose lecture theatre and three pre-prep classrooms.

The Winton Centre at A.B. Paterson is now nominated for the Queensland Master Builders Awards, with the winners to be announced in November.
