A boost for Pacific Pines community

A new community hub will open in Pacific Pines this Sunday.

Mayor Tom Tate will open the hub as part of a community day.

Division Councillor Tracey Gilmore said the hub would provide important community services to the rapidly growing northern suburbs.

“The hub is already home to the Pacific Pines Netball group, Pacific Pines Residents Group, Horizon Inc. and Coomera and Regional Chamber of Commerce,” she said.

The Pac Pine-apple Playgroup also meets every Tuesday at the hub with the City of Gold Coast’s Immunisation Clinic held on the third Thursday of the month.

“I have long pushed for this facility and we are now seeing it become the great meeting place it is, for all of our community,” she said.

“To celebrate, the open day will feature rock wall climbing, live entertainment, netball demonstrations, information stalls and a sausage sizzle. Everyone is welcome to attend.”

If you want to go to the Community Hub Opening head to Wajin Park on Pacific Pines Boulevard from 11am-2pm.
