Get ready for plenty of free family fun at Chirn Park this Saturday afternoon.
For the first time ever, a street festival will be held in the area, with plenty of entertainment on offer for all ages from 3pm-8pm.
Locals will be able to enjoy live music on the Chirn Park stage, roving performers, kids entertainment, local food and business specials, community groups, stalls and more.

Former The Voice contestant, Chang Po Ching, is set to headline the music stage, alongside other local acts including Dani Teveluwe, Charlesworth Band, K2 Duo and ADX.
Attendees will be able to feast on an array of delicious food from Chirn Park food outlets, Tonic on Chirn will be mixing cocktails in their pop-up bar, and community stallholders will be showcasing local arts, crafts and activities for the kids.
Division 6 Councillor Brooke Patterson said the festival is a chance to support Chirn Park businesses after a tough 18 months.
“We have made a concerted effort to work with the local businesses and the community on bringing this festival together. We are really proud of Chirn Park and want to show it off to the rest of the Gold Coast,” she said.
Division 7 Councillor Ryan Bayldon-Lumsden said the event will put a spotlight on Chirn Park.
“People have been craving something like this for a long time and Chirn Park is near and dear to a lot of people. With local performers and local community groups providing the majority of content, it’s a great showcase of the talent that exists in our community,” he said.
A road closure will be in place along Musgrave Ave, Turpin Rd and Brooke Ave from 9am to 11pm on Saturday to make way for the street festival.
The festival will have a COVID safe plan in place, with attendees required to use QLD Check in app upon entry.
