With the second day of the official AFL trade window underway, Adam Saad and Gary Ablett are expected to dominate talks.
Gold Coast Suns list manager Scott Clayton has all but confirmed Gary Ablett would be at Geelong next year, with more talks scheduled over the next couple of days.
“It’s more likely (we’ll get a trade done)… but there’s some work to do… we’re not quite at the finishing line,” he said.

Geelong forward Steven Motlop had been linked to the Suns as a potential trade for Ablett, but the Gold Coast will have to battle Port Adelaide for him.
Port have reportedly tabled a six-figure sum for Motlop.
The other man who looks likely to leave the Suns is the hard-running defender, Adam Saad.
Saad asked Suns officials earlier in the year to be considered for a trade, as he wants to return to his home state of Victoria.
He’s been linked to Essendon, and the Suns have said they’re not far away from completing a deal.
