Accused drink driver mounts the kerb in NSW

A woman has been charged with high-range drink-driving after she was allegedly found slumped over the wheel of a car which had mounted a kerb west of Sydney’s CBD.

About 11.10pm on Sunday, emergency services were called to Hyatts Road, Plumpton.

Mount Druitt police allegedly found a woman slumped over the wheel of a Holden Commodore which had mounted the kerb.

The driver, a 38-year-old woman who holds a P1 provisional license, was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive reading.

She was arrested and taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where she allegedly returned a breath analysis reading of 0.222.

The woman was charged with high-range drink-driving and had her licence suspended on the spot.

She is due to appear at Mount Druitt Local Court on Thursday 28 July 2016.
