Adam Scott falls short at the Aussie Masters event
Gold Coaster and tournament favourite Adam Scott has fallen disappointingly short in his quest to claim a third Australian Masters title.
The former Southport School student, who led after the first two rounds, finished on 4-under-par overall after a mixed bag on the final day at Huntingdale on Sunday.
He showed moments of brilliance but some erratic tee shots and putting meant he was unable to make up any ground on the leaders.
