Adam Scott off to good start in US Masters defence

DEVOURING his mother’s now-famous Pavlova seems to have helped Adam Scott get off to a good start in defence of his US Masters title.

The Hope Island golfer, who hosted former winners in the traditional pre-tournament dinner on Tuesday night, fired an opening round three-under 69 at Augusta National.

Scott’s back in the clubhouse on three-under, one shot behind overnight leader Bill Hass (USA).

Of the other Aussies, John Senden finished on even-par, while Marc Leishman is now in the same spot, half-way through his round.
