GOLD Coast golfer Adam Scott has today been announced as the world’s best, now World Number One on the Official World Golf Rankings.
Having spent 38 weeks at the number two position, Scott officially claimed the top spot ending Tiger Woods’ 60 week reign.
Despite not playing last week, Scott topped the Official World Golf Rankings and will tee it up for the first time as the World Number One in the Crowne Plaza Invitational this week.

Scott becomes just the second Australian to be the world’s highest ranked golfer following his mentor Greg Norman who held the position for 331 weeks in the 1980s and 1990s.
