Additional flights scheduled as Gold Coast Airport reopens

Good news for anyone flying in and out of Gold Coast Airport today, with confirmation the airfield has reopened this morning following yesterday’s severe weather.

The airfield was temporarily closed from about 11am after the runway was inundated by water.

It forced at least one flight from Adelaide to divert to Brisbane as it was unable to land, before all flights were eventually cancelled.
