AFL House shows support for same-sex marriage with new ‘YES’ logo

The prominent AFL logo at the Australian Football League headquarters in Melbourne has been replaced with a giant ‘YES’ in support of same-sex marriage.

The influential sporting organisation unveiled the new ‘YES’ logo on the front of AFL House in Docklands on Wednesday.

It comes almost two weeks after the NRL threw its weight behind the yes campaign.

NRL CEO Todd Greenberg announced the code would support marriage equality after former player Ian Roberts pleaded for the organisation to get on board.

Roberts was one of the first major sporting stars to come out as gay in the mid 90s.

Photos posted on social media show AFL stars and dignitaries posing for a photo in front of the unmissable three letter word.
