Airborne station wagon hits car injuring woman

A WOMAN has suffered serious injuries after her car was hit by an out of control station wagon at Coomera.

Just before 9pm on Saturday, police were responding to an unrelated matter on the Pacific Motorway when the station wagon was noticed speeding in the southbound lanes without headlights.

A short time later, it veered on to the exit 57 off-ramp and is believed to have lost control before becoming airborne and colliding with the second car.
