Gold Coasters are being told not to worry if they see a Air Force jet flying low across the city on Thursday, it’s all part of the celebrations for the Gold Coast 600.
A single Royal Australian Air Force EA-18G Growler aircraft will be conducting flypast practice over the Gold Coast at 10.30am in support of the massive event, formally kicking off on Friday.
The aircraft will conduct multiple passes and fly at speeds up to 1018 km/hr and at heights no lower than 75m above ground level performing specific flight manoeuvres.

The Air Force says all flying is subject to change due to weather and operational requirements.
