Brisbane Airport has warned it may also disrupt its operations, although the Gold Coast Airport is expected to be in the clear.

It’s a busy morning in the domestic terminal – please allow extra time & #packyourpatience as staff work to get everyone checked in & through security,” Brisbane Airport tweeted.

“Localised fog may also impact airfield operations”.

According to the weather bureau, the shroud is expected to start settling shortly and clear into a partly cloudy day, with Brisbane expecting a top of 28C and the Gold Coast heading for a high of 27C.
