People are being warned of a nationwide recall involving bottles of Black & Gold Bleach.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said in a recall notice posted on Sunday that the affected bottles include Black & Gold Bleach Regular 2L and Black & Gold Bleach Lemon 2L.
“In some circumstances the child resistant cap may be faulty and the product may leak when tipped,” the notice reads.

“The product may pose a health risk to consumers and possible damage to property. Bleach is a poisonous substance.”
People have been urged to follow the safety instructions outlined on the packaging and dispose of the contents down the sink with fast running water.
Empty bottles should then be rinsed and returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The recalled bleach was sold at independent retailers around the country, including IGA, Friendly Grocer and Foodworks between 1 November 2017 – 14 March 2018.
