‘All positions are vacant’: Gold Coast Titans to rebuild after 5th straight loss

The Gold Coast Titans remain at the bottom of the NRL ladder, after a loss to the Melbourne Storm at Cbus yesterday.

While the Titans held the lead for a short time in the first half, the ladder leaders made light work of turning it around.

It was the Titans’ fifth straight loss at home, earning the side their worst start to the season.

It comes a week after the sacking of coach Garth Brennan, with the whole club on notice to do better.

One of the interim coaches Craig Hodges says no one’s position is safe, as the club tries to rebuild.

“We know what direction we want to go, and we know what we want to achieve.

“We just need to find with – to start with – the 17 most committed to that.

“And then we’ll work on the wider squad.

“But at the moment, all positions are vacant,” Hodges said.

Hodges says he’s interested in taking on the role of head coach full time, but that the club has a lot more to focus on right now.
