AN alleged home burglar has been charged with a long list of serious offences after he was allegedly found in possession of a gun and machete while being arrested by police on the NSW Mid North Coast on Saturday.
The 26-year-old man was arrested in a park on High Street at Bowraville at around 1.45pm following investigations into an aggravated break and enter at a home in Stuarts Point on Monday 26 October.

During his arrest, police allegedly located a pistol, ammunition, a knife, a machete, and an amount of drugs nearby.
The items were seized and will undergo forensic examinations.
Following the arrest, officers searched at a home in Bowraville where a several further items were also seized.
The man was taken to Macksville Station where he was charged with:
- Aggravated break, enter and commit serious indictable offence
- Dishonestly obtain financial advantage
- Possess prohibited drug
- Custody of knife in public place
- Possess unauthorised pistol
- Possess ammunition without permit
- Possess goods in custody.
He was refused bail and was due to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court today.
