A Gold Coast man accused of kicking his dog will plead guilty to animal cruelty.
Brett Simpson sparked outrage on social media after video footage of him allegedly kicking and violently pulling his staffy at Currumbin in January went viral.
The video was viewed by more than 3 million people.

Simpson’s case was mentioned briefly in Southport Magistrates Court this morning where his lawyer said he will enter a guilty plea to one charge of animal cruelty.
The case will return to court on July 9.
The dog was seized by inspectors and remains in the care of the RSPCA.
