Alleged Lone Wolf member extradited to GC over violent armed robbery

An alleged member of the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang has been extradited from New South Wales to face charges over an alleged armed robbery of a Gold Coast tavern in 2009.

The 49-year-old man was extradited back to Queensland yesterday in relation to the armed robbery at the Currumbin Creek Road Tavern on October 25, 2009.

Police allege the man entered the business armed with a replica gun, threatened employees and tied them up before removing a large sum of cash from a safe.

Detective Senior Sergeant Simon Garrett from Gold Coast CIB said that despite the passage of time detectives continued to work tirelessly to locate the offender responsible and solve this violent crime.

The 49-year-old man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and two counts of deprivation of liberty.

He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates court today.
