Alleged Mongols bikie tasered by police after Broadbeach eviction

An alleged Mongols bikie has been tasered by police after a violent altercation broke out when he and other bikie associates were evicted from a Broadbeach venue.

According to police, the group of seven, all with alleged links to the Mongols, were kicked out of a licensed premises along Surf Parade around 2.40am this morning for disorderly behaviour.

“It is also alleged one of the men urinated near the premises,” the police spokesperson said.


Shortly after, the men became involved in an altercation with police between Albert Avenue and Queensland Avenue at Broadbeach.

“It is alleged during the interaction with police one of the men allegedly kicked out hitting one of the officer’s in the chest area,” police said.

“As a result a Taser was presented and successfully deployed”.

Five men, ranging in ages from 25-years-old to 54-years-old, have now been charged with a string of offences including obstruct police, assault police and commit public nuisance.

All men have also been given banning orders.
