Alleged Muslim attacker to face Southport court

A French-born Melbourne man, who allegedly told two Muslims “we’re going to bomb you all” at a Gold Coast hotel, is due to appear in court this morning.

Franky Guise was charged with two counts of common assault and one count of making threats after the alleged attack at the Q1 hotel in Surfers Paradise on Monday.

The 37-year-old is accused of grabbing the breast of a 25-year-old woman in Muslim attire before making reference to her being an animal.

He is then accused of approaching a 17-year-old man in the hotel foyer and spitting in his face.

Guise is also alleged to have shouted “we are going to bomb you, we are going to bomb you all” to the group.
