Alleged screwdriver thief flees to Townsville after holding up GC shop

Police have tracked a man down in Townsville after he held up a grocery store in Coomera on Sunday.

The 30-year-old allegedly threatened the Dreamworld Parkway store attendant with a screwdriver around 4.30 pm on September 5, demanding cash and cigarettes.

He was able to get a bit of cash but the store didn’t sell cigarettes so the armed man allegedly stole the attendants car keys instead.
