UPDATE: 1-year-old girl taken from Beenleigh found safe and well

UPDATE @ 10.45PM | A one-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert after being taken from a home in Beenleigh has been found.

Police say the girl is safe and well.

No further details have been provided.

Police have thanked members of the public for their assistance.

EARLIER: Police seeking urgent public assistance to help locate a one-year-old girl who was taken from a home in the Logan area.

The girl was taken by a man from the home on Wardell St in Beenleigh around 9.30pm on Saturday night.

The man was driving a white Suzuki sedan with New South Wales registration CS3-4ZR.

The car was seen crossing the border into New South Wales at around 10.30pm and was located in Bogangar several hours ago.

Police hold serious concerns, saying the girl may be at significant risk.

The is described as Caucasian in appearance, 50cm tall with blonde hair, a fair complexion and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink jumper, pink pants and a blue shirt.

The man is described as Aboriginal, approximately 178cm tall, with brown eyes and short dark hair.

Police are urging the man, or anyone with information relating to their location, to contact police immediately.
