Two kids snatched from Redbank Plains found safe and well

UPDATE @ 8.15 PM | Two children who were taken from the Redbank Plains Recreational Reserve by a man and woman known to them this afternoon have been found.

Queensland Police issued an urgent amber alert to find the pair just before 7.30pm on Tuesday after it was revealed they may be at significant risk.

However, detectives confirmed the children were located safe and well a short time ago.


“Police thank the community and media for sharing,” Qld police said in a statement.

EARLIER @ 7.50 PM | Police are desperately appealing for urgent help to find a 7-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl who were taken from the Redbank Plains Recreational Reserve this afternoon.

The pair were snatched by a man and woman who are known to them between 4.30pm and 4.45pm today, but detectives believe the youngsters may be at significant risk.

It’s understood they left in a grey 2007 BMW, with the car last seen travelling on Collingwood Drive towards the Ipswich Motorway.
