Amber Heard ‘forced’ to go to police over Depp

Johnny Depp’s estranged wife Amber Heard is maintaining that she was the victim of domestic violence.

The Actress has now handed a statement to police in Los Angeles to back up her story.

It comes after photos appeared, showing her with bruising on her face, especially around her eye.

Heard’s legal team told the New York Post she was “forced” by Depp’s team to provide a statement after “vicious false and malicious allegations” were spread to cast doubt over what she said happened.

She has claimed that she’d already been living apart from Johnny when she returned home to see him after his mother died and during their conversation he lost it and threw a phone at her, hitting her in the face.

Her legal team also said that initially Amber did not provide a statement to the LAPD in an attempt to protect her privacy and Johnny’s career.

The couple did not sign a pre-nup before they tied the knot 15 months ago.

In April Heard was put on a Good Behaviour Bond over the Pistol and Boo dog smuggling saga.  She failed to declare to dogs when she visited Australia last year.  She came to see her husband who was filming Pirates of the Caribbean on the Gold Coast.
