A paediatric nurse has won the 1029 Hot Tomato Gold Coast Nursing Award for September.
Anna Parker has been a nurse for 8 years and currently works at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
She told myGC she was completely shocked to take home the award.

“It’s so nice to be recognised, but this award really needs to go to the entire team. I am so lucky to get to work with so many fantastic nurses on the ward,” she said.
“I absolutely love my job and don’t even think of it as work. I am so honoured to help look after kids, and make a difference in their lives. I treat them exactly how I would treat my own children.
“I try to take a family-centred approach and put myself in their parents shoes too.”
Along with a certificate, Anna wins $250 and is now a finalist in the Annual Awards where she could be awarded the annual winner’s cash prize of $5,000.
