AMP Chair Catherine Brenner has quit, effective immediately, as the fall out from the Royal Commission into the financial sector continues.
She’s the second person to leave AMP in wake of the Commission’s findings after CEO Craig Meller resigned when the organisation admitted to charging clients for advice they never received and then lying about it.
The company has been under intense pressure following the Commission, with findings on Friday showing AMP could face criminal charges for misleading the corporate regulator.

Mike Wilkins has been appointed as Executive Chairman and will lead the company for an “interim period”.
