Another Gold Coast store targeted in smash and grab
Police are investigating an early morning break and enter on the northern Gold Coast, the latest in a string of similar robberies across the city.
Officers were called to a store on Peachey Rd in Ormeau around 2.15am on Thursday morning.
It’s believed up to four people have broken into the store via a rear door.
The thieves have then fled with a quantity of cigarettes.
It’s the fourth similar robbery this week alone where thieves have broken into stores and stolen cigarettes.
A supermarket in Upper Coomera was targeted in the early hours of Monday while supermarkets in Coomera and Ormeau were hit on Tuesday morning.
