Another high speed crash on Mount Panorama ahead of Bathurst 1000

THERE’S been another high speed crash on Mount Panorama, just 24-hours after Ford driver Chaz Mostert suffered possible season-ending injuries.

Aussie Racing Car Series driver Damien Flack is being treated track-side after his vehicle cartwheeled before catching fire.

The crash happened on Conrod Straight and his injuries aren’t yet known, but he is believed to be conscious and talking. He is expected to be airlifted to hospital shortly.

Yesterday, defending Bathurst 1000 champion Mostert, pictured, suffered a broken leg and wrist after his car clipped the wall and ricocheted nearing Forrest’s Elbow.

He has had surgery overnight, but is unlikely to make a return to the competition this season.
