Another location added to Queensland’s Public Health Alert

One new location has been added to Queensland’s Public Health Alert, after another two cases of coronavirus were diagnosed within the state yesterday.

A 38-year-old nurse from the Ipswich Hospital, and an 18-year-old student from a Redbank Plains School are the latest positive tests.

The Fig Tree Pocket Early Childhood Centre at Fig Tree Pocket is now on the list, with anyone who was there on August 21 being urged to monitor their symptoms carefully.

While a Victorian man who’d flown into Brisbane from Melbourne was also found to be infected with the virus.

Authorities were working to contact trace everyone on flight JQ560 on Monday morning, but have since found that the man was not infectious on the plane.

The man, former Gold Coast bikie Shane Bowden, was put into hotel quarantine on the Gold Coast, but was reportedly taken to hospital late yesterday.

It’s understood he required treatment for an infected gun shot wound.

Criminal investigations are continuing.
