ANZAC Day to go ahead ‘as normal’ for Queensland
Queenslanders are another step closer to normality today, with the Premier confirming that ANZAC Day will be able to go ahead as normal this year.
After 2020 commemorations saw us confined to our driveways, a return to dawn services, marches and other commemorations is very welcome for 2021.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced the news on Twitter this morning.
“In times of strife, Queenslanders do what it takes to protect each other,” her post reads.
“We’ve done it in wartime, and we’re doing it now through the global pandemic.
“Because we’ve worked together to keep safe, this year we can safely gather to mark the sacrifices of those who have served.”

Probably the first correct decision she has made in years!
