Apple’s fancy new iPhone ditches the home button, offers wireless charging!

The day has finally arrived, Apple fans!

Apple has today unveiled it’s latest (and most expensive) new smart phone… the iPhone X, which is pronounced 10 by the way!

It comes 10 years after the first iPhone was released.

“Our vision has always been to create an iPhone that is entirely screen. One so immersive the device itself disappears into the experience,” Apple said in a description of the new phone on their website.

“And so intelligent it can respond to a tap, your voice and even a glance. With iPhone X, that vision is now a reality. Say hello to the future.”

Some of the new features of the iPhone X include a brand-new 5.8-inch OLED screen, wireless charging, cameras and sensors that enable Face ID to unlock the phone and no home button.

The company also released an iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, which also support wireless charging.

“iPhone 8 introduces an all‑new glass design. The world’s most popular camera, now even better,” the phone description reads.

“The smartest, most powerful chip ever in a smartphone. Wireless charging that’s truly effortless. And augmented reality experiences never before possible. iPhone 8. A new generation of iPhone.”

The Apple iPhone 8 will be available for pre-order from Friday, with the iPhone X available for pre-order next month.
