If disaster strikes, do you have a plan to protect what is most important to you? Are you ready?

While the Gold Coast is famous for its gorgeous sunny weather – we average around 300 days of sunshine per year – our city is not averse to natural disasters and extreme weather events.

Being prepared for these disasters can help safeguard your family, pets and property against the impacts of severe storms, cyclones, floods, bushfires and pandemics.


In fact, households that are well prepared before a natural disaster occurs are more resilient and are able to recover faster.

So how prepared are you and your family?

Gold Coasters are being encouraged to share their views via the Disaster Preparedness Survey.

The City of Gold Coast will then use this information to help shape the City’s future Disaster Management programs.

The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and you have the opportunity to enter the draw for the chance to win one of ten $50 Eftpos vouchers (terms and conditions apply).
