Aretha Franklin sings Happy Birthday to Taylor Swift

TAYLOR Swift has started off her birthday weekend on a high.

The ‘Blank Space’ singer, who turned 25 today, was sung Happy Birthday by the Queen of Soul – Aretha Franklin – at a Billboard Women of the Year event.

Swift was nearly in tears by the end of the song, gushing “Oh my God, I’m so happy” as she blew out her candles.

She also instructed the rest of the artists on stage to join her in making a birthday wish.

“Everybody else gets to make a wish too, that’s how this works. It’s my birthday, I make the rules,” she said.
