Armed man forces three Qld schools into lockdown

UPDATE: The lockdown of three Toowoomba schools has been lifted but the search continues for a man on the run from police.

Glenvale Christian School, Darling Downs Christian School and Glenvale State School were forced into lockdown around 11am, after a man failed to stop his car for police before running off in the west Toowoomba suburb of Glenvale.

Police say reports suggesting the man was carrying a gun are still unconfirmed.

EARLIER: A man on the run from police has forced three Toowoomba schools into lockdown.

Reports suggest the man crashed his car in Glenvale before running from officers.

Its alleged the man may be carrying a gun.

Glenvale Christian School, Darling Downs Christian School and Glenvale State School have all been forced into lockdown.
