Armed man on the run after sexually assaulting woman in Beenleigh park

A woman has been threatened with a knife and sexually assaulted by a man who followed her into the toilets at a park in Beenleigh.

Police said that just after 10.00am, the woman, aged in her 20s, walked into the amenities block at Doug Larsen Park on Logan Street when she was confronted by a man who produced a knife before sexually assaulting her.

The woman managed to break free and run from the scene before contacting police.

The predator remains at large. He is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged between 25 to 35 years-old with a solid build, fair complexion and short dark hair.

He was wearing a black t-shirt, dark coloured shorts and white running shoes.
