Investigations are underway in Logan after a couple of thieves robbed a tavern armed with a gun and a hammer.

Police say the pair entered a business along Fryer Road in Eagleby just after 3.00 am, threatening staff with their weapons.

They then directed a staff member to open a cash machine, where they took an amount of money and fled.

Luckily, no one was injured in the incident, with police now investigating.

The male holding the gun is described as having a tanned complexion and wearing green camouflage pants, a blue-grey coloured long-sleeved jumper and had a blue cloth item wrapped around his head.

The second man is described as tanned complexion wearing black pants, a white hoody jumper and white sneakers.

The pair left the scene in a silver Holden Cruze.

Police are calling for anyone with dash cam vision that may have been captured in the area between 2.00 am and 4.00 am to come forward.
