Armed robbery at Logan service station overnight

Investigations are underway after a Logan service station was robbed by a man armed with a baseball bat in the early hours of this morning.

Around 2am a man and woman driving a silver older model sedan arrived at the Johnson Road business in Forestdale.

The man got out of the car and threw a besser brick at the entrance and kicked in the glass to enter.

Armed with a baseball bat he then made demands for money from a 27-year-old male employee who hid and locked himself in a back room.

The offender then removed an empty cash till from the register and slipped on the floor while attempting to leave.

The woman came to his aid and the two drove away.

They were last seen heading west on Johnson Road towards Carol Park.

No one was injured in the incident.
